What is the Silver Fern Farms Co-Operative Store?

The Silver Fern Farms Co-Operative Store is an online ordering system for shareholders and suppliers who want to purchase products directly from Silver Fern Farms.

Who can use this service?

Shareholders of Silver Fern Farms Co-operative or farmers who have supplied stock to Silver Fern Farms in the past 12 months.

How do I use this service?

To place an order, follow these instructions:

  • Select the plant location you would like to pick-up your product from
  • Select the products and quantities of cartons you would like to purchase
  • Follow the purchase instructions, including entering your supplier or shareholder
  • number
  • Select your pick-up date
  • Once you have confirmed your payment by credit or debit card, product will be organized for your pick-up

You will receive a confirmation email which will include details of where/when to pick up and a reminder email the day prior to pick up.

Essential Visitor Notification

The following practices must be followed when at any Silver Fern Farms Site:

Do not enter our site if you are unwell or have been in contact with a person suspected of having close contact with or symptoms of Covid-19.

Before you enter our site you must:

Complete a risk assessment with the designated member from Silver Fern Farms and be approved for entry

Once onsite you must:

1. Discontinue physical greetings such as handshakes.
2. Wash or sanitise your hands upon arrival
3. Always Maintain at least 2-meter distance between yourself and other people.
4. Avoid cafeteria and break areas.
5. Follow safe hygiene practices when using our facilities such as bathrooms

When do I have to place my order by?

To ensure product is available, orders placed before Thursday are available for collection the following week. Pick up dates are shown prior to order submission.

Where do I pick it up from at the plant?

Each plant has a slightly different pick-up location. The details for this will be sent to you in your order confirmation email. Please ensure you check these details, so you know exactly where to go to. Health and Safety is very important to Silver Fern Farms so please follow the clearly marked pathways at the plant and follow all instructions given to you by our staff members.

Can I get product delivered?

No. At this time we offer a pick-up service only.

When do I pick up my order?

Pick-up times/dates vary by plants. You will receive a reminder email the day prior to pick-up.

Belfast Pick up is available at our Belfast plant on Thursdays between 11am and 11.30am. Please report to Plant Reception for collection.
Dargaville Pick up is available at our Dargaville plant on Thursdays between 3pm and 3.30pm. Please report to Plant Reception for collection.
Finegand Pick up is available at our Finegand plant on Wednesdays between 11am and 11.30am. Please report to Plant Reception for collection.
Hawera Pick up is available at our Hawera plant on Thursdays between 10am and 10.30am. Please report to Plant Reception for collection.
Kennington Pick up is available at our Kennington plant on Thursdays between 10am and 10.30am. Please report to Plant Reception for collection.
Pacific Pick up is available at our Pacific plant on Wednesdays between 11am and 11.30am. Please report to Plant Reception for collection.
Pareora Pick up is available at our Pareora plant on Thursdays between 11am and 11.30am. Please report to Plant Reception for collection.
Rotorua Pick up is available at our Rotorua plant on Thursdays between 10am and 10.30am. Please report to Plant Reception for collection.

What happens if I can’t pick-up my product on the day I’ve chosen?

If for any reason you are unable to pick-up your purchased product on the specified day, please contact our customer services team on 0800 362 362 or service@silverfernfarms.co.nz within 24 hours prior to the arranged pick-up time. You will need to have your order number, pick-up location and date to make any changes.

What if I don’t want a whole carton of product?

Currently we can only offer whole cartons of our products. You could talk to your family/friends/neighbours to see if they want to share the costs of a carton with you.

Who can place the orders?

Only Shareholders and Suppliers can place an order online; confirmation dates and times are required at the time of order as is credit card payment.

A selection of our beef and lamb products are available to order by the carton. Currently available:

As part of our visitor safety protocol, we require you to complete the following declaration to be able to collect your order. Please note that the person completing this declaration should be the person to collect the order.

  • I have not travelled internationally in the last month nor have I been in self-isolation in the last 14 days.
  • I have not knowingly had any close contact with anyone who has been confirmed with infection of Covid-19.
  • I am not experiencing any signs of illness associated with Covid-19 nor have I been in contact with anyone that has any symptoms.
